Well, the Rachel Brice intensive is right around the corner for those who can afford it. Wish I could. Well, although, I do spend about that much money but on diverse workshops. I like to see different people because I like to steal... ahem... borrow from everyone.
As I've mentioned on my previous blog post, I've been reading a lot of that Yoga Journal on those torture devices at the gym. Inevitably, in that magazine, someone will have gone to a retreat. Boy, that sounds cool and fun. Expensive, also, but, hey, why not?
I was reading about yoga on the internet today and found something about going to learn Iyengar yoga with the Iyengars in Pune, India. Oh man! Wouldn't that be awesome? Of course, I can think of a million reasons why that would be impossible or hard to do... but the thought is oh so tempting...
And that got me thinking about how peaceful I think that I would feel... which got me thinking about the last time that I felt peaceful and relaxed. That was a few weeks ago when we were in Pigeon Forge for Chy's wedding. That place is just awesome! The mountains are so beautiful. When we were just hanging around at the hotel room, waiting to get ready, I took my novel, my hard lemonade, went on the balcony, and was just breathing sooooooooo deeply, almost yoga breathing. Boy, that was awesome... After that weekend, we vowed to go back and go back often.
So I was thinking of how nice it would be to just wake up, do some yoga, maybe a little belly dancing, walking in nature, etc., and I was thinking of how much of a bummer it is that all those retreats are so damn expensive when it suddenly hit me... I could have my own personal retreat that I could share with my hubby... the Pigeon Forge/Smoky Mountains setting was perfect to make me peaceful. We could rent something via our timeshare that, actually, has 2 resorts in that region. I could bring my yoga tape and some belly dancing music. We can go walk whenever. A cool thing about retreats is also the good, healthy food... well... the timeshare resorts have kitchens in their rooms so we could cook nice food (I've got tons of healthy recipes that we could try).
So... Honey... When can we do that?
